The first Forum Blanc, a great success!

Over three days at the Grand Bornand ski resort in Haute-Savoie, the 140 people attending the Forum Blanc explored the topic of cross-media developments in the animation sector.

Presentations from the twenty-five European experts gave valuable into the various aspects linked to the implementation of these new forms of programmes and contributed to debates on the issues arising from such developments.

Not wanting to focus exclusively on the animation sector, the directors of CITIA also wanted broadcasters, producers and distributors working in fiction or documentaries to share their own approaches in cross-media. In the same vein, the talks given by major players from the video games industry, internet media and marketing helped widen the debates.

The presentation on the policies of large media groups, the focus on the projects of independent producers and on new methods of distributing content, in addition to the many discussions in the conference room – not to mention during a certain memorable outing in snowshoes – all formed the perfect base of knowledge and experience from which the attendees will surely benefit.

On the back of this success, CITIA will be hosting a second Forum Blanc from 12^th to 14^th January 2011.
